The Manufacturer's Card Game Review of Express:

Building trains is an integral part of America's history. Now the tradition continues with Express, a unique card game for the 90's. Reminiscent of classic card games but including new play twists, Express is as easy to learn as rummy. Players start with a one-car train and build on their meld to maximize points and bonuses. But players must be wary of train wrecks and derailments. Unique play allows partners to pass key cards to each other during the game. Express is sure to be a hit for years to come.

Rainy Day Game's Card Game Review of Express:

The Express card gameThe Express card game is one of those games you play when you just want to have a casual hour of two with your friends. It's a fun, light game that will provide the setting in which you get talking and laughing with them.

Last time we played this game, it was sitting around the TV with a couple of hours to kill before the movie started. A couple of the Rainy Day Games guys and their girlfriends, we didn't feel like staring at the idiot box. Out came the Express card game, and we almost didn't make it to the movie.

Express can be a little cutthroat. Included in the deck are various disaster cards that you play on each other. Our group always sees the humour in this and loves to foil each other's plans. If you're looking for something to fill in the spare hour, or as an alternative to a more serious strategy game, the Express card game fills the bill at a great price.
