The Manufacturer's Board Game Review of Diplomacy:

Trust and treachery are the entertaining ingredients in this Game of International Intrigue. Each player represents a Great European Power prior to World War I, a time when the continent was a complex cauldron of political stratagems and maneuvers. Your armies and fleets can dominate Europe, but only with the cooperation of your neighbors. Never forget, they are all trying to expand their territory, too, and you could be the target!

Luck plays no part in Diplomacy. Cunning and cleverness, honesty and perfectly-timed betrayal are the tools needed to outwit your fellow players. The most skillful negotiator will climb to victory over the backs of both enemies and friends.

Rainy Day Game's Board Game Review of Diplomacy:

Diplomacy Game Board For those of you who are always angry at the dice for not rolling right, this board game is meant for you. Pure strategy is the point of Diplomacy. Think geo-political chess. While you have military units which you position on the map, the decisive factor in the Diplomacy board game is how well you can construct a military and political relationship with the other players. And, of course the very best part of any game of Diplomacy is the point when all the treaties and non-aggression agreements you have carefully worked out with your friends fall to pieces. The key of Diplomacy is to betray your friends before they betray you, but only after you've gotten what you need from them.

You can't ask for a better game for interaction among your group. At Rainy Day Games we want our board games to help you to have more fun with friends and family. Diplomacy is the ultimate expression of that. No blank staring at game boards and communicating via die rolls. Get to know the people you know. Play Diplomacy. And remember you still have to be friends with these people when the game is over...
